We believe great BBQ shouldn't require a smoker or 12 hours of tending a fire. With our Pulled Pork Seasoning, you can achieve that complex, slow-cooked flavor right on your countertop. This recipe combines the tangy kick of cider vinegar with the richness of brown sugar and ketchup to create a sticky, savory glaze that infuses the meat as it cooks. Just toss it in the crockpot and come home or bring it to your next party, the best pulled pork you've ever tasted!
Ingredients
-
3 lbs Pork Shoulder (Boston Butt)
-
4 tbsp Spice Madness Pulled Pork Seasoning
-
1/2 cup Ketchup
-
1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed
-
1/3 cup Cider Vinegar
Directions
Make the Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the Spice Madness Pulled Pork Seasoning, ketchup, brown sugar, and cider vinegar until smooth and combined.
Prep the Pork: Place the pork shoulder into the bottom of your slow cooker.
Combine: Pour the sauce mixture over the pork, ensuring the meat is well-coated.
Cook: Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours or High for 4–6 hours. The pork is done when it shreds easily with a fork.
Shred & Serve: Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred the meat (discarding any large pieces of fat). Return the shredded meat to the juices in the slow cooker and stir to coat.
Recipe Note
Toasting the Buns: For the best sandwich experience, butter and lightly toast your buns before serving to prevent them from getting soggy.
Serving Suggestion: Top a sandwich with coleslaw for a classic BBQ crunch. Great for tacos, nachos, and quesadillas!
Leftovers: This pork freezes beautifully. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
